Larry uses his family's system to buy Balki a car, which turns out to be a lemon.

Larry used the Appleton Family Used Car Rating System to find the perfect car for Balki. He used a computer to find all the used cars available in the Chicago area, he found 14,227 cars. Then he uses another computer program that eliminates all the trucks, four-wheel drive veachles, RV's and anything costing over $2,500. Then each car is rated according to milage, previous service records, co-effecients of drag, and sales prices, narrowed down to the one car in Chicago that will most likely give Balki worry-free driving well into the next century.

Balki has his eyes on another car that didn't measure up to the Appleton System. This car was red, it has flaps on the back that block mud, the arials are at an angle that make him feel like he's going fast, and it was a Garfield stuck on the window.

Personal Information

Larry's dad used the Appleton Rating System to buy Larry's first car, which Larry and Balki both say that it was the ugliest car they have ever seen. Larry hated that car but would never tell his dad. However, the car still runs.

Quotes
